We, the teachers at Marie International School, are more than happy to
welcome you aboard.
After having taught English as a second language (ESL) in Japan for a
long time, we have come to the conclusion that Japanese children deserve
more than just being able to express themselves in English.

They need to be prepared to face and cope with the Globalizing
English-speaking World.

In order to reach this goal we offer a new method of learning English
? through academic subjects. We believe that second language, is a lot
easier to be understood and remembered in certain contexts. That is why,
through the unique system of our school, children do not only learn to speak
but also to reason in English.

Let us tell you more about our Curriculum.　
It is made of both ESL curriculum and Subject curricula. This means
your children will have the rare chance to learn English through acquired
knowledge. We are very proud of our idea and it has been very successful
from its very implementation. We are using authentic texts, not simplified
or contrived text written for ESL students. This makes students more
interested in the topics and is making their learning more meaningful and
purposeful.

We, the faculty of Marie International School, possess International
Diplomas for ESL teaching and are currently teaching at Japanese
Universities or International Schools.
All of us have experience in teaching children with no or very basic
English in Japan.
That is why we understand the problems Japanese second language
learners may face and are very enthusiastic to implement the new and unique
approach of our school.
